Sorry, Jesus

Warning: upset rant ahead.

There are days where I weep for Christianity. Days where I honestly wonder how we have gotten to where we are. Days where experiences with other Christians leave me just a little bit less hopeful than I was before.

Christ promised us that there would be conflict for believers. He even said that families would be set against each other over accepting him. But I don't think he envisioned families of Christians treating each other like heretics.

We've poisoned ourselves with our views of doctrine. We have divided down lines that would make Jesus cry. That, or slap his forehead really hard and yell "SERIOUSLY???? YOU ARE REFUSING TO SUPPORT YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD IN MY WORK BECAUSE OF THAT??"

Since when did it make sense to tackle our own teammates?

Satan has done a masterful job in teaching us who our enemies are.

Rant over.
